Tuck Tweets: Kiwi back in blue | New York Daily News

The 28-year-old defensive end has agreed to terms on a new contract with the Giants, according to a source familiar with the situation. The source said that it’s a two-year deal with incentives and could be signed tomorrow if Kiwanuka passes a physical.

"As the coach of the Jets, give him credit. He has turned the dial up on excitement for Jets football. But, anybody can sit here and say, “Well, we’re gonna win this year.” And then the next year comes and say, “We’re gonna win this year.” And then the next year comes and say, “We’re gonna win this year.” I mean, give me a break.

I root for the Jets when they’re not playing us. I love to see New Yorkers do well. But, the fact of the matter is, we’ll never be a stepchild to the Jets. We’ll always own this city, in a football sense. But in a sports sense itself, no one can compete with the Yankees. So, who really cares?” - NY Giants’ Justin Tuck, today on SNY’s Daily News Live.

“I’m gonna say this and this is gonna be the last time I comment on anything Rex Ryan says. The last time I checked, I have a Super Bowl ring and he doesn’t, so if he’s proud of coming up short, I guess he should be proud of that.”

Justin Tuck fired back at Rex Ryan, who said in his book that the Jets are a “better team” than the Giants and a “big brother” to Big Blue.

Rex: "I know it’s going to (tick) off Giants fans, but … we are the better team. We are the big brother," Ryan wrote. He also wrote that the Jets are "going to remain the better team for the next 10 years. Whether you like it or not, those are the facts and that’s what’s going to happen."

Giants’ Pro Bowl DE Justin Tuck appeared on CNBC Friday and discussed what the Jets need to do in order to beat Tom Brady and the Patriots on Sunday as well as his thoughts on the other Divisional Playoff games…

“I’m sure we lost a lot of games when Strahan was here, too,” Tuck said, clearly not kidding. “He always sacked the quarterback every pass play, too.” →

Michael Strahan speaking Tuesday on the “Dan Patrick Show” on FOX Sports Radio:

[The Giants] should be ashamed of themselves [for the way they blew the lead and the game.] [They] got soft and relaxed. The end of the game was fitting because you don’t let a team back in when you’re up like that. The Giants have not finished. I don’t know if they know how to finish, and they need to learn how if they expect to do anything this year. You have to have a killer instinct. You have to finish teams.

Justin Tuck:

I don’t understand how — I’m not saying he’s not on our side – but he’s talking to us one day and the next day you say that. If I’m in that situation I might just close my mouth and say nothing. He’s entitled to his opinion and I’m entitled to not really care.

I love him; he’s my guy. I wouldn’t be where I am today without his guidance and the things he taught me. I’m sure we lost a lot of games when Strahan was here, too,” Tuck said, clearly not kidding. He always sacked the quarterback every pass play, too.
