A bloody nose can’t stop Matt Harvey.
The above is an actual quote from a Groupon deal for Mets tickets at Citi Field against the Phillies, White Sox, Pirates, and Reds. Yeah, i have no idea either.
Don’t believe me? Here’s the link to the Groupon deal.
(via amandarykoff)Love this picture I took of Harvey on Wednesday after he got on base!

Boom!
Major League Baseball, the Mets and Mayor Bloomberg announced exciting events happening in NYC during All-Star weekend this summer.
New York City has hosted the All-Star Game nine times, but this year’s game will be the first in Queens since 1964.
A new threat has emerged, and that name doesn’t rhyme with Sabathia, Strasburg, Verlander, or Price.
His name is Matt Harvey.
Harvey is 24-year-old pitcher who is currently 3-0 for the New York Mets, and already has posted a .82 ERA with a batting average against of just .088. In his first game, he took a no-hit bid into the 7th inning. The man carries a 95 mph fastball and a nasty slider that leaves batters confused at what just happened at the plate. And to solidify his pitching status as ‘He has arrived,’ Harvey will face off against the National’s Stephen Strasburg in what is being said as “pulse quickening as it gets for a matchup of 25-and-under starters that doesn’t include Clayton Kershaw” ESPN
The baseball industry along with Mets and Nationals fans will be buzzing Friday night under the lights in Citi Field. Two young guns will duel it out, and both teams are only split by 1.5 games this early in the season.

It’s Lucas Duda’s first day in Port St. Lucie: “It’s good to get back on the field again. I wanted to start work early because of my injury. I’m swinging the bat and things are fine. Dave Hudgens and I will be working every day until camp opens. Last year was a tough year for me. That’s in the past. I’m looking forward to putting up the kind of numbers that I’m capable of.”
Congratulations to David Wright and his longtime partner, Molly Beers on their engagement!
Please hurry baseball season so I can see this guy on SNY pre and post game shows… I miss Bob Ojeda… LOL
