In the Boston Globe, Dan Shaughnessy writes that New York is not a hockey town and that he has been in the City since Monday and has felt no buzz for this Rangers team.
SNY.tv recapr takes a look at how the media reacted to the NY Rangers’ 0-3 series deficit vs. the Bruins.
In less than two minutes, recapr covers the media’s reaction to New York’s sports stories, pulling together multiple angles and viewpoints – from Twitter to text to talk radio – giving you the whole story in one place.
“Everything that can go wrong for me is going wrong.” - Ike Davis
“Once upon a time, Ike Davis was a very good first baseman. But, he has made some huge mistakes out there lately, and today, his whole mountain came crumbling down … I mean, the offensive slump is one thing, but if it’s being taken out into the field too and Ike is going to make these kinds of mental mistakes, it’s hard to continue justify playing him.” - Michael Baron, MetsBlog
The verbal sparring between Sergio Garcia and Tiger Woods continued Wednesday after Woods tweeted back at Garcia in response to comments made by Garcia that could be perceived as a racial reference aimed at the world’s No. 1 player.
On Wednesday morning, Tiger tweeted this: “The comment that was made wasn’t silly. It was wrong, hurtful and clearly inappropriate.
“I’m confident that there is real regret that the remark was made.
“The Players ended nearly two weeks ago and it’s long past time to move on and talk about golf.”
Garcia, who later issued an apology, took issue with Woods for what he viewed as a breach of golf course etiquette during the third round of The Players Championship two weeks ago, was asked in jest at a European Tour function if he would be inviting Woods to dinner during next month’s U.S. Open.
“We’ll have him ‘round every night,” Garcia said, according to multiple media reports. “We will serve fried chicken.”
The search for the No. 2 star to pair with Carmelo Anthony is not leading the Knicks to Los Angeles, as much as Chris Paul would be Anthony’s perfect wing man.
Instead of landing a star talent like Paul, a free agent this summer who once toasted an Anthony-Paul-Amar’e Stoudemire alliance at the Garden, the Knicks will have to set their sights considerably lower.
Blame it on the Knicks’ over-spending. Blame it on the new collective agreement. Just don’t blame Rihanna for this one.

This is Part III of our sit-down interview with MLBPA Executive Director, Michael Weiner where we touch on (among other things) your beloved New York Yankees and some of the impending issues facing the organization as they creep ever-closer to an era of transition.
Yesterday, while on TSN Radio, Darren Dreger talked about how he thinks John Tortorella could lose his job if the Rangers go out quickly to the Boston Bruins. On TSN Radio in Montreal this morning,…
It seemed as though the game would remain tied after a lucky bounce off of Lundqvist’s head on the line but then Paille put the puck in off the inside post.
